Simone is a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), Functional / Contemporary Medical Acupuncture provider, Certified Birth Doula and a Naturopathic Doctor graduate. She is passionate about health and well-being. She is also passionate about guiding women through the birthing process.
As an RMT, Simone is very clinically oriented. She will takes her time to assess her patients and present them with a treatment plan that is meaningful for them and in alignment with their health goals. She also provides acupuncture treatments in line with the patient needs. Some conditions Simone has success treating are: pain reduction or management, stress reduction, postural imbalances, chronic conditions (such as headaches and low back pain) and specific injuries including strains, sprains and tendonitis. Another passion of hers is perinatal care, where she can help pregnant and or postpartum women with the changes the body goes through during pregnancy and childbirth.
As a Certified Birth Doula, her training and experience allows her to empower women in her perinatal journey, by guiding and providing comfort throughout the birthing process, with up-to-date information, relaxation techniques, massage and energy healing techniques.
Background:
Simone received her Massage Therapy training at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, Toronto, Ontario; Contemporary Acupuncture training at McMaster University, Hamilton , Ontario; Doula training and certification by DONA International;, and Naturopathic training at Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Toronto, Ontario. Other training include BodyTalk System and Reiki II. She is an active member of CMTO, RMTAO and DONA.
Simone also speaks Portuguese and English.
